Shaun Whittington is a native of Chichester, UK where he played 4 years at Chichester High School, 4 years at Chichester College. Professionally, Whittington played for Crawley Town and Barnham Trojans (County League, England),where he was named the Player of the Year and Manager's Player of the Year in 2008.

At the age of 14, Whittington started his coaching career with after school programs. He coached Portsmouth FC Pro Academy and a couple of local clubs in England before coming to the United States. Whittington now resides in Cranston, Rhode Island with his wife and their puppy, Charlie. Though he is far from home Whittington is a huge Manchester United fan.
