A former all-American at North Kingstown High School, Zach went on to play NCAA Division I soccer at the University of Rhode Island. Following his freshman year, he transferred to Plymouth State University in New Hampshire where he graduated from in 2022 with a degree in Social Studies Education. Upon returning home, Zach worked in special education and was hired as the junior varsity coach at his alma mater, after which he joined the staff at Surf.
