RI SURF: A STATEMENT SEASON IN THE GIRLS ACADEMY
The 2024/25 season has marked a true breakout year for Rhode Island Surf in the Girls Academy. From day one, the mission was clear. “We’re here to compete — not just make up the numbers,” said Girls Director Aleksej Skundric before a single ball was kicked. Now, as we head into the Spring season, those words ring truer than ever.
Both our U13 and U14 teams currently sit in 3rd place in their respective divisions — firmly in the hunt for a coveted Nationals berth, a testament to the hard work, resilience, and quality being built within the club. We are building something special and now is your chance to join us!
“What we’re building isn’t just about the next game — it’s about creating a long-term pathway for players to grow, thrive, and reach their highest potential,” says Brad Furnival, Girls Academy Director. “This spring is another step forward, but our vision reaches far beyond one season.” From high-level competition to individual player breakthroughs, Rhode Island Surf is rapidly establishing itself as one of the most competitive and respected GA clubs in the region.
