Following her NCAA DI soccer at the University of Rhode Island, Lindsay Longval went on to have an incredibly successful coaching career. The Richmond, Rhode Island native started coaching in 2000 and has been named Words Unlimited School Girl Coach of the Year (2011), six-time NSCAA RI Private/Parochial Coach of the Year, Rhode Island Interscholastic League Female Coach of the Year (2013),
NSCAA Regional Private/Parochial Coach of the Year (2014),
RI Girls Soccer Coaches Association Girls Soccer Coach of the Year (2015), National Federation of HS Sports Girls Soccer Coach of the Year (2016), and Providence Journal Girls Sports Coach of the Year (2019).
As impressive as her personal success has been, she would be the first to tell you how much it means to her that she has helped her players advance to the NCAA DI, DII, and DIII level to schools including Boston College, College of Charleston, Holy Cross, Loyola, Marist, Maryland, Fordham, Sacred Heart, UNC Ashville, UNH, Southern New Hampshire, URI, Babson, Wesleyan, Stonehill, Connecticut College, and Salve Regina. Longval is proud to be a part of the RI Surf program since 2020 and even four of her children play in the program.
