Rhode Island Surf is proud to announce the upcoming dates of our MLS NEXT I.D. Clinics, slated to take place over the course of 3 weeks this Spring. As a member of the MLS NEXT Academy Division, Rhode Island Surf players possess the opportunity to play at the highest level of boys youth soccer while also retaining the ability to represent their high school soccer programs.

This program aims to bring the top boys players across Rhode Island, Southern Massachusetts, and Eastern Connecticut together to compete in North America's elite league competition.

I.D. Clinic Info

3 Weeks This Spring

Weeks of: April 6th, May 4th, and May 18th.

TRAIN WITH OUR TEAMS

Players will be invited to attend 2-3 training sessions with a team in their specified age-group throughout the week.

DETAILS COMMUNICATED

Once registered for our I.D. Clinics, a Rhode Island Surf coach will reach out via email with any and all information pertaining to the sessions your player is to attend.

Rhode Island Surf MLS NEXT players have the opportunity to train throughout the Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring months with our MLS NEXT AD staff.

What is the

MLS NEXT Academy Division?

Launched in 2020, MLS NEXT is the most elite platform for player development in North America. The Academy Division features more than 1,200 teams from more than 220 clubs across regional divisions. Regular season play is accompanied by regional tournaments and an opportunity to attend MLS NEXT national events. These events serve as marquee talent identification opportunities for college, professional, and national team scouts to evaluate players.

Players within the Rhode Island Surf MLS NEXT program are on the field 4-5 days per week in the Fall and Spring between sessions and games, with the winter months consisting of 3 sessions per week minimum. The league schedule sees our U13-U14 and U15-U19 play 18 and 12 regular season fixtures between September and May respectively, with additional tournament and friendly play as well.
