Summer Performance Series

Rhode Island Surf is excited to offer athletic performance training to our programming. The Athletic Performance program is designed to complement Rhode Island Surf soccer training with sports specific activities to enhance performance in the areas of strength, agility, quickness, flexibility, and explosiveness, along with injury prevention exercises. These series are a great opportunity to work on efficiency and effectiveness on the field.  As players begin to compete at higher levels, this aspect of training becomes more and more important to a player's individual success.

What You'll Be

Working On

Players will improve footspeed and dynamic ability both in space and on the ball. Sports specific activities will enhance performance in the areas of strength, agility, quickness, flexibility, and explosiveness, along with injury prevention exercises.

Additionally, players will spend half of their time working with the soccer ball to improve speed, touch, comfort, and confidence on the ball.  Technical skills/topics/combination exercises will be geared towards player development and adjusted appropriately to meet our youngest players while also challenging our senior players to advanced levels.
