TESTIMONIALS

Player-Focused

Approach

"While Natalie was already playing on a town team, the expectations at club level are different. The Junior Academy served as a bridge between the two. It introduced her to technical skills and concepts that were unfamiliar. More importantly, it gave her a positive experience with the club that made her want to continue. What stands out most is the club's focus on player development rather than just short-term results. Every child is met where they are in their journey, and the coaching staff challenges them appropriately."

Prioritizing

Development

"What has stood out to us most about Rhode Island Surf's player pathway is the level of involvement from the staff and their commitment to the players. They have not only challenged Lucas but also encouraged him consistently throughout. Their focus has been development from the start, with an emphasis on the decision-making side of the game. This has allowed Lucas to advance through the pathway and further his long-term development!"

Building The

Foundation

"Rhode Island Surf has played a fundamental role in developing Pyper as a player. She started with the club in the Spring of 2022 at the age of nine, possessing a very basic skillset. While clubs elsewhere trained twice a week, Surf offered three practices. We found that at a young age, an extra per week with knowledgeable coaches helped improve her overall ability and confidence. Pyper was further driven the following year when opportunities arose to play at a higher level. The potential was seen in her as a player and opportunities were granted to work towards that step up."
