TRYOUT REGISTRATION

The next chapter in your player's development awaits at Rhode Island Surf! Open tryouts with the club are taking place throughout the season, with roster spots available on our U7-U19 teams.

Players will be invited to attend Rhode Island Surf training sessions with a team in their age group to be evaluated by a staff member, giving players and families an authentic look at what they can expect if they join. These sessions are open to players looking to join immediately or in 2026/2027.

Coach reaches out via email

The coach of the team you are trying out with will provide you with the date, time, and location of the session.

STEP 4:

Attend the evaluation session

You will receive an evaluation from our professional coaching staff based on four key player attributes: technical, tactical, physical, and mental.

STEP 5:

Assess the next steps

Following the completion of the session, players can be selected to join one of the Rhode Island Surf teams in their respective age group!

Elite Teams

The Rhode Island Surf Elite teams serve as the highest level of play within our Player Pathway. The program consists of two tiers: Elite Blue and Elite White. Each tier provides access to national platforms that feature some of the top youth club competitions in the United States.

ELITE BLUE: Girls Academy League (Girls: National Pathway) and MLS NEXT Academy Division (Boys: National Pathway)

ELITE WHITE: Development Player League (Girls: National Pathway) and Regional Academy League (Boys: Regional Pathway)
